Whether you’re just starting your sustainable fashion journey or you want to learn more about the impacts the global fashion industry has on our planet and its people, these five podcasts about sustainable fashion are incredible resources. They cover topics like vintage fashion, what’s in your closet, and building sustainable brands. I have learned so much over the past few years of listening to these five female thought leaders and know you’ll learn something as well.
Conscious Chatter
Co-Founder of slow fashion brand Left Edit and host of Conscious Chatter, Kestrel Jenkins is one of my favorite people in the sustainable & ethical fashion space. On her podcast she chats with thought slow fashion entrepreneurs, folks advocating for legislative change in the industry, and thought leaders.
Kestrel passed the mic to Dominique Drakeford of Melanin & Sustainable Style for a 6-part series about decolonizing the sustainable fashion agenda called The Root.
Start with this episode: Aja Barber on how the *affordability* story is fueling a messed up narrative & why we need a culture shift
Pre-Loved Podcast
Emily Stochl is a thrift queen, vintage reseller, and an advocacy manager at ethical fashion organization ReMake. On Pre-Loved Pod she interviews fellow thrifters (like my friend Jaz), vintage shop owners, and other thought leaders in the sustainable fashion space.
I love the mix of conversations and guests Emily has and the passion she brings to the table. She also has a great podcast voice!
Start with this episode: Crossroads Trading with Melissa, Crossroads’ first employee hired back in 1991
Conscious Style Podcast
Elizabeth Joy runs one of my favorite sustainable fashion Instagram accounts (see Conscious Style here) and I was thrilled when I saw she created a podcast in 2021. She is so thoughtful in her approach to slow fashion and I look at the nuances in this movement with a new perspective every time I listen to an episode.

Crash Course Fashion
I first met Brittany Sierra on a panel for a Sustainable Fashion Forum x thredUp event and it is *still* on my bucket list to attend a SFF conference in person. Brittany only launched her podcast in the Fall of 2021 but the episodes she has published so far are phenomenal.
If you’re a fan of the BOF podcast you’ll love Crash Course Fashion. It’s all about building purpose-driven fashion brands that prioritize people, planet, and profit.
Start with this episode: Media’s role in cracking down on greenwashing with Julia Gall
Eco Chic
Perfect for those looking for podcasts about sustainable fashion and sustainability in general
This last podcast is one of the first sustainability-related podcasts I listened to way back in 2018. Laura Diez, Eco Chic’s host, knows so much about the climate crisis and its intersections in the fashion industry and I just love listening to her talk about potential solutions, whether it’s on her own solo episodes or with acclaimed guests.
