This has by far been my most requested blog post / TikTok video / topic in my Instagram DMs. Even some of my friends have texted me asking about this! So in this post I’m sharing 10 sustainable swimwear brands.
I actually don’t own a ton of sustainably-made swimwear. Most of my suits are at least a few years old, meaning they were purchased way earlier in (or even before) my slow fashion journey, but this post contains brands I that I have researched and would purchase from when the time comes to invest in some new swimwear.

Reformation

First up is Reformation swim – I have owned a few swimsuits from Reformation and they have all been great. I didn’t experience any fading from the sun or saltwater and none of them stretched out after years of wear. Reformation has great prints and a variety of styles.
- Reformation swim is made from ECONYL (recycled nylon made from recovered fishing nets, industrial waste, and fabric scraps)
- Reformation swim comes in sizes XS – 3X and is priced between $78 and $178.
One last thing I will say about Reformation swim is the sizing can be a bit of a struggle for tops as someone with a smaller band size and larger cup size, so keep that in mind when shopping. I have not had any issues with sizing for the one-piece or bottoms.
SummerSalt Swim

Summersalt designs have a ton of color-blocking and fun prints, and come in a variety of different styles. I have found that most sustainable swimwear brands have few modest options, but Summerslat has lots of mid-rise, high-rise and one-piece styles that aren’t too cheeky or high cut.
